Public Health Warning

Having promised the new Royal Adelaide Hospital would cost $1.7 billion, documents show Mike Rann, Jay Weatherill and their Labor colleagues misled voters on the true cost of their policy.

Together they’ve locked South Australians into an expensive contract and documents reveal the true cost of the Hospital over its 30 year life is $12 billion.

That’s $1.1 million per day that our children and grandchildren will be paying every day until the year 2046.

But it doesn’t include a single nurse, surgeon or doctor. They will cost extra.

Labor’s record on health is deplorable and includes;

• A billion-dollar Royal Adelaide Hospital budget blowout;
• Stripping regional community hospital funding in Moonta, Keith and Ardrossan;
• Removing the valuable overflow service provided by Glenelg Community Hospital;
• Failing to support the now-closed Blackwood District Community Hospital; and
• Increasing examples of hospital overcrowding, ambulance delays and growing public health waiting lists.

Now even the Jay Weatherill admits nothing will change under his leadership;
