State Liberals to kick-start the SA economy

The latest ABS unemployment statistics are proof South Australia needs a new State Government with new plans to create jobs.

South Australia’s unemployment rate is now 7.3 per cent – higher than it was when the Weatherill Labor Government delivered their so-called ‘jobs budget’ almost 12 months ago.

“The Marshall Liberal Team has a plan to grow our economy and create the jobs our state desperately needs,” said Shadow Minister for Employment Corey Wingard.

“The Weatherill Government isn’t working and after 15 years in office it is completely out of ideas to fix the mess of their own making.”

A Marshall Liberal Government will:

• Reduce the tax burden on businesses and households
• Cut red tape and unnecessary regulation
• Invest in productive infrastructure
• Support export businesses and encourage their growth
• Foster entrepreneurialism; and
• Support growth opportunities for our regional businesses and industries

“We’ll reduce the tax burden by putting $360 million back into the pockets of South Australians by slashing ESL bills,” said Mr Wingard.

“We’ll deregulate shop trading hours by removing Labor’s archaic trading regime, so that traders can trade, shoppers can shop, and workers who want to work can get more hours.

“We’ll invest in productive infrastructure through our Globe Link plan to assist our exporters get their products to market.

“We’ll open four new overseas trade offices to support our export businesses and drive job creation.

“We’ll encourage entrepreneurs to invest in new ideas and innovation and foster entrepreneurialism at the high school level.

“And we’ll always support our regional businesses and industries to grow and create jobs for South Australians.”
