Businesses have no confidence in State Government

The Weatherill Labor Government is the most negatively perceived state government in Australia by small and medium businesses for the fifth year in a row.
The latest Sensis Business Index released today has revealed 40 per cent of small to medium businesses believe that the current State Labor Government’s policies are working against small business.
“Business confidence continues to be below the national average and Jay Weatherill has his head in the sand when it comes to the challenges facing small businesses,” said Shadow Minister for Small Business Corey Wingard.
“I speak to many small businesses and they all raise the same concerns.
“They constantly tell me South Australia has the most expensive and unreliable power in the country and excessive fees and charges. Small businesses are struggling under these conditions.
“Small businesses are a vital part of the South Australian economy, providing jobs for families.
“This survey shows small and medium business have no confidence in the Weatherill Labor Government.”
The State Liberals have already committed to providing $360 million in relief over four years by reinstating the general remission on the ESL, relieving the cost of doing business and putting money back into the pockets of South Australians.
