The Weatherill Labor government has budgeted to sell the car parks at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital (WCH) from under the noses of the hospital’s charitable foundation. The Foundation supports research, patient facilities and purchases medical equipment.

Rachel Sanderson MP, Member for Adelaide has drafted a Bill to create the City of Adelaide as a recognised tourist precinct under the Shop Trading Hours Act. This Bill, if passed, would allow businesses in Adelaide City to open on the majority of public holidays.
