About Amanda

Having served on local council for the better part of a decade – most recently as the area's first female Mayor – Amanda understands local issues and has a proven track record of fighting and delivering for her community.

Before serving on council, Amanda worked in the legal profession, largely representing small businesses.

Now, in addition to serving on council, she sits on the Coast Protection Board because she's passionate about protecting Adelaide's local beaches.

Amanda is also actively involved in many of our local sports and community clubs because she knows how important they are – not only for recreation, but for creating a sense of belonging.

When Amanda was younger, she watched her family lose their home and their business due to skyrocketing interest rates. Now, she see families and businesses grappling with the same possibility. She understands that on top of crippling inflation and interest rates, skyrocketing power prices and water bills are also hurting people and businesses.

Amanda knows families are struggling and they need their local representative to focus on the things that matter – housing, power prices, and knowing that if they, or someone they care about, needs to call an ambulance they won’t be stuck on a ramp when they’re at their most vulnerable.

Amanda will fight to ensure the government is firmly focused on these issues.

Amanda has the energy, experience and knowledge of local issues to be a great MP and a strong, local advocate in the state parliament.
