With deep and longstanding links to Hindmarsh spanning across three generations, Anna has a strong connection with the electorate and our community.
She was born at the Western Hospital and has spent most of her life in the electorate. Anna grew up in West Lakes, Woodville, and Henley Beach. She built her first home at Grange and as a child played netball at St Clair, Woodville.
After completing her law degree at the University of Adelaide, Anna has sought to use her legal background to serve and advocate. Anna has worked alongside senior members of the legal profession in South Australia, as Policy Lawyer for the Law Society, advocating for the protection of rights and civil liberties.
Her passion for the local food industry led her to complete a Masters in Global Food and Agribusiness, which gave Anna real life experience in marketing, value chain analysis, and international trade. Anna then worked internationally on a project to improve the health and livelihoods of families in the Pacific. This led her to obtaining her doctorate in 2019.
Most recently Anna has been a part of the State Liberal Government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, working across the police and health portfolios, and delivering upgrades to hospitals across the state, including our local Queen Elizabeth Hospital. She understands the challenges and hardship faced by our community because of the pandemic and is passionate about being part of the recovery.
Being the granddaughter of migrants, Anna is proud of her multicultural background and volunteered regularly on Italian radio during the pandemic providing information to her community helping keep them, their loved ones and the community safe.
As the daughter of a small business owner, Anna understands the challenges faced by family business and appreciates their integral part in the tapestry of the Hindmarsh community.
Anna is dedicated to engaging and supporting young people in the community, particularly women.
Anna will be a strong voice and advocate for the people of Hindmarsh.
